Something I am working on needs some work but it will give you an idea

One of the veggies is a comp so for those who aren’t familiar with nested veggies open that one to get an idea
As I do some projects I will generate these and feel free to use, improve ,change bang around

I have sent them off to Stephen and thanks once again for hosting

It’s a pleasure

Most of the full time video editors do this stuff all the time but I know newer folks to video editing will get some benefit and have some creative fun

Love your forum name BTW

Thanks so much Rory. Your 3D wedding veg really came in handy last week. Got some great comments. Thanks for allowing me to use your veg. Your generosity is appreciated. Thanks to you to Stephen.

Rory, I am probably missing something here, but how do you set the .veg as a transition?

Rob

Start a new project,…place your media on the timeline…..import the 3d veg…..place on the timeline and slide the edge of the veg to the marker left and right
Range this left and right with your media Then right click on the veg…this will open the veg and import media

Right click while still holding down on the right button drag on to the timeline and replace as a take..do this for all the layers

Hope this makes sense

Rory, I still can't repro your fx.....

(Then right click on the veg…this will open the veg and import media)

So basically, I have 2 shots on the timeline (Vegas 9): a left shot and a right shot....so then I insert the "3d rings ripple.veg" in between these 2 shots and align them with the left and right markers, so they appear as crossfades.
At this point, when you are right clicking the veg, are you opening the nested veg ("3d rings ripple.veg") as "edit in Vegas" ?

Mind you that if this is the case, I have a bug that prevents me from opening as "edit in Vegas" since it opens them in Vegas 8.

Thanks again Rory!

Rob, I think you can fix this "bug" problem by changing the .veg file association in Windows to Vegas 9.

Jerry, I tried changing .veg file association in Windows to Vegas 9, but no luck, it is still V8 opening.

Also it seems that you can no longer have .veg file association to Vegas 9 32bit, only to V9 64bit?
