Anyone have experience of using this or similar device with Vegas
Vegas can see the driver and i can in Vegas tell which mic input to use
To date i have no control over the Zoom eg adjusting sliders do not adjust in Vegas. Also choosing play/record butons. Its all new to me. I have hopefuly set it up correctly in preferences as it sees the zoom option

Using the zoom as an audio interface and using Vegas with an external control surface are two entirely different things.
No idea whether they are compatible in the latter use, but that is where you would need to start.

According to the Zoom website the R16 emulates the Mackie Control, which is the controller that Vegas was designed to work with. So it should be possible to get the R16 working as a controller for Vegas.

There are a couple of whitepapers on the Download page that deal wih setting up and using an external controller with Vegas - one for using the Mackie Control itself, and another for using the Behringer BCF2000, a cheap interface which can be set up to emulate the MCU (I have a BCF2000 and it works well with Vegas).

If you follow through the instructions in the Mackie whitepaper for configuring the drivers, ports, etc, for the Mackie Control (perhaps with some cross-referencing to the BCF2000 instructions) you should be able to get the hardware recognised by Vegas.
