My best advice in this scenario would be to uninstall and reinstall the entire Vegas suite. That way, the programs should automatically come installed with the new patch that fixes the opening problem. I hope this helps!

@don-c There was initially congestion on the download server. But that was days ago. Presumably you've since retried and are now okay?
