  • V10,V11, Saving pics as 300 dpi instead of 72 dpi?

V10,V11, Saving pics as 300 dpi instead of 72 dpi?

OGUL wrote on 2/2/2016, 8:02 AM
Hi to all,
D750, pics, 6016 x 4016, 300 dpi.
I open a 4K project.
Masking etc. and then V10 or V11 saves it as 72 dpi.PNG or Jpeg.

Is it possible to save them as 300 dpi??

When re-saving a 4096 x 2304, 72 dpi file as 300 dpi, will the image quality get worse?

Thanks in advance.

DPI means nothing except for default print size, which is easily adjusted.
Vegas saves at the default, which is 72.
Only the actual pixel count matters.

DPI is a print function meaning Dots Per Inch. As Musicvid said, on TV the overall resolution is what is important.
