this maybe old hat to most of.. yet?!.. my issues r this. when i add a transitions effect to project.. play back is solid with cpu.. Now. with gpu enabled.. when it comes to transitions.. be it "PUSH etc.. any added transition i get the "JUMP..' of clip.. (TRANSITION) .. yes..a bit vague.. butt.... that is the best way i can provide a example.. any fix to this?..

I took a quick look at your computer configuration and it looks like the fault lies with the video card. It is not powerful enough compared to your CPU. It can't handle the job as well as your microprocessor.

Yup you have a very strong CPU. With preview at Best/Half you'll be able to preview most transitions even with some FX applied at full frame rate or close to it. If you need better preview performance you'll probably have to move up to a more powerful GPU. But beware things can get tricky to get it playing nice with Vegas from what I've read around here. I have a 2500k overclocked to 4.2GHz and am fine with preview for what I do and have a nice stable VP10e. In fact when Ivy Bridge comes out in a month or two I'll just upgrade my CPU and hopefully get a 5 to 10% performance increase from the new core (better IPC) and perhaps another 5 to 10% from a higher overclock. Giving me another 10 to 20% performance increase over what I have now. Perhaps more since my current CPU doesn't have hyperthreading.

I thought I remembered your quest for GPU. You only had a narrow GPU opportunity.

Does it have CUDA support for Render As?

I should mention that.. Without any effects added, just raw footage being previewed GPU is better than CPU.. I can choose best full without issue, only when we add transition effects or fx in general do I have the jump/stutter effect. Hey G. Not sure about the render as part".. Will have to check later.
