V13 totally losing it with iphone 4 .mov files

Hi all,

I just tried to make a long render of roughly 30 iphone 4 .mov files ( all 1080p 29.970 NTSC) to export them into one long clip . Although I set the project properties accordingly, V13 is totally going haywire on them. The first few imports seem fine, then the thumbnails in the project media window start to be green , no picture, and then, some clips on the timeline just play a black screen, others won't have a video file at all, just sound, until finally, V13 freezes up totally, but interstingly, windows task manager says it's still "running". Tried several times, batch imports freeze V13 right away, importing the clips one by one works up to a certain number on the timeline, after which V13 starts to lose it. Some clips will play fine, others suddenly lose their thumbnail and only the sound remains, preview turns black.
Can anyone help me understand what is going on here?
Thanks!

What's going on is Vegas Pro still uses the 32-bit QuickTime libraries for processing MOV files. It seems that it's OK with a few clips on the timeline but there is a limit after which things get bad quickly.

I would recommend you convert the QuickTime files to Sony MXF files one by one. Vegas Pro will work much better with MXF files.
