V20 Docking Windows re-dock arbitrarily when restarting

OK. This is starting to get annoying.

Since upgrading to V20 from V18, my docked windows (Effects, Plug-in-Manager, Vegasaur windows, others) just appear docked in different places, sometimes, when I restart Vegas. Sometimes they're hidden smashed up against other windows. Sometimes vertically split and placed where I'd never have them.

Has anyone else been experiencing weird docking issues that have a mind of their own?

Hello @RedRob-CandlelightProdctns,

I currently have V19, but I would like to think that what I am about to recommend should work with V20 as well.

You may have to rearrange your docked windows from scratch initially, but once you do, click on "View," "Window Layouts," and "Save Layout As...." You'll be prompted to name your layout; rename it whatever you like. Then, when you reopen Vegas, your preferred window layout should show up immediately. If not, click on "View," Window Layouts," and click on the layout you named previously. All of the windows should be docked exactly as you please. I attached a photo below for reference -- the circled items are examples of custom window layouts I created and saved. I hope this helps!
