Folks, don't know if others are having this problem, but here's what's happening on my machine:
I have a P4 2.8 GHz PC with 512MB Ram, and an Intel motherboard. I originally installed WIn XP on it, and then installed VV 3.0c. When creating projects, it would crash with an exception error after - curiously enough -defragging the hard drives (something which you have to do sooner or later with video....)
A message to this board then got the reply "others have experienced this same problem." But, no solutions.
I solved it by creating a partition, installing Win 2000, and putting VV 3 on that. Works without a hitch.
The other day I installed V 4 Beta on the Win XP partition, hoping for the best. No luck - Excepton errors again.
Haven't tried it with Win 2000 yet, but it sounds like WIn XP is the way to go with this release.
Sure would like to know how to fix this. Ideas, anyone?
Thanks!
