V4 default track propeties

In v4 , when you save new default track properties does it save the actually configuration of plugs ? V3 saved the plugs, but ignored the activation tick box and presets. I like to routinely have WaveHammer in te default chain, instead of track Compressor, but wish it to be deselected by default.

Unfortunately, the bypass state does not get saved in the default track properties, nor do the plug-in settings. You get just what you would had you added the plug-ins to the track manually (ie. not bypassed and in some default configuration).

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I can see how both of these could be useful behaviors so it will go in the list of things that could be a bit nicer.

A way to do this is: Create ONE track, set it up (remove the cmp, add the wavehammer).
So you have the "BASIC" track.
All you have to do is dupicate this track as much as you need..
(you can do "multiplied" duplicates, much faster way to get hundreds of tracks..)
(change the track colors, if you need)

I hope this simple "trick" helps until this feature will be added to the 4.x

I always do the same way (with different plugs).

w!

P.S.: what about to save the basic session as "Untitled" ?
(with basic BUS settings, plugs, names for kik, snr, hatz, bass, vox, padz, blabla.)

It all points to what a great addition template files would be at some point to Vegas.

A lot of us currently have our default templates, which we then 'save as' as we start a new job, but it's a little clumsy. It would be great to be able to call up template files of some sort.
