I see a lot of issues with V4 users lately.
Let's use this thread to help SF's development staff recreate the problems.
1. Briefly describe the problems you're experiencing (because most of them have been described in detail elsewhere in this forum)
...AND...
2. Specifically describe your machine and the way you are using it:
* Motherboard and Processor
* Onboard Devices (not PCI -- these are devices that are hardwired to your
motherboard E.G. -- Ethernet, Sound, Modem, Etc.)
* Amount of RAM and Description
* Power Supply (and overclock values if you are doing this)
* Operating System
* Video Card (make sure to define whether it is AGP or PCI)
* Drives (not just hard drives; CD ROM, CDRW, DVD, Etc.) and define their locations
in the IDE chain -- E.G. Primary Master = Main Hard Drive, primary slave =
CDRW... Etc.
* List all PCI devices starting with your primary sound card
* List all of your additional applications and how you use them if it coincides with your
use of V4 -- This is especially important because many applications are designed
to "take over" certain resources when they are running. An example of this is
GigaStudio and what it does with ASIO.
* If you are using multiple hard drives or partitions, describe the location of your OS,
your applications and where you are calling media files from and where you are
writing them to.
