v4 update nightmare - anyone else ?

I just downloaded the V4 upgrade and installed it.
Shortly after launching V4, I get the dreaded Winows message : "Vegas encountered a problem and must leave..."
An unistall + a new re-install of Vegas did not help.
Same nightmare.
I never experienced a single problem with version 3, and did not recently changed anything to my hardware/software.
So it seems that Vegas4 does not like me.... (PIV 2Ghz, XP, Gina audio card, Cbase SX)
Anyone else has had problems with the install, any suggestion ?
Thanks.

All I can say is a big "Me Too"... Except I get either an "Application Error" with some kind of memory read/write error, or nothing at all: The splash appears, then just disappears again and vegas40.exe is gone from the taskmanager ???

Just discovered that the problem was the Emagic XSkey. Try unplugging your SX key and see if that helps...?

Right Kimgr, same thing here : as soon as I removed the Emagic's XS key, Vegas 4 granted me a completed launch !
Seems that this new version needs some bugfixes : Vegas 3 was not sensitive at all to Emagic's dongle...
More, right after this first launch, I discovered a new issue : although Vegas4 now does open, it forces my computer to go from my usual 1280 X 1024 screen resolution to a rather basic 640 X 480 ! I have to go into Windows' display properties, change it back to 1280 X 1024, and come back to Vegas !
Worse, even if the imported (or new) file is saved into Vegas4 format, after quitiing, when double cliked, the file re-opens Vegas in 640 X 480.... I hoped that Vegas 4 needed some initial settings, searched into preferences, nope...
I use an LCD (flat) screen and a GForce4 Nidia video card, and with this very same setup, there was absolutely no issue with Vegas 3...
Any clue ?
