'Ordered' my downloadable v4+dvd > v5+dvd2 today, downloaded the install packages, I have my serials as emailed to my by Sony. Hooray, I think BUT

neither will install, instead displaying the message:

"There was an error reading this install package.
The install package is either corrupt or your temporary folder is out of disk space"

Damnation!!

Can anyone help. sounds like I need to update some Windows file or another (I'm running XP SP1 with all of the latest updates).

ps. I have indeed tried downloading the installer packages again.

When you click on the package does it first ask where you want the install files to go? if it does have you tried a location other than your install location? In other words if you want to install to the "C" drive tell your set up files to do to the "D" drive.

No, it doesn't get that far. It just comes straight up with the error message.

I've had the same experience with some other software I bought and tried to download. For me the problem was a glitch when it downloaded, for instance if it stopped then I had to resume downloading. I tried downloading it again saving it ontop of the same download and when I tried to run I got the same message.

What eventually fixed the problem, I completely deleted all download attempts and downloaded again, making sure there were no downloading failures, such as temporary dissconnects etc. during the process. And it worked, this sounds just like your issue, hope this helps.
