Does Vegas 5 utilize version 1.4.2?

There have been several threads on what version of encoder is actually included in V5. The encoder is actually fairly recent. However, many of the settings that are "exposed" in the standalone version are not available to the Vegas 5.0 user and therefore you will not be able to "tweak" your rendering as much. This may, or may not, result in a difference in quality.

Using the default settings in Vegas 5 seems to render in roughly the same amount of time as it did in Vegas 4.
