How about reverse engineering those veg files ? :)

Reverse engineer! :) yeah, right!

But open them in Notepad and scroll to the bottom to read the descriptions...

I'm saying no more (don't have to I guess).

I do not see the files, I see vegas 5 under the file type selector, but there are no files there. However there is a tutorial link for a vegas 5 tutorial in the tutorial section, but it is a bad link.

The vvegas 5 files are listed under V4. They are the first files listed (if you sort by date)

addded later...

they took them down those sneeky people .:)

hey, they already have a V5 contest and it isn't even out yet. :) I guess those of us who would get the "box" copy would be at a little disadvantage, huh? ;)

You're right, they seem to have vanished. I guess I was lucky and was able to grab them while they were there (but can't open them yet). At any rate, here are the names of the mystery files:

V5_3D_example.veg
V5_3D_SCI-FI_Titles.veg
V5_3D_Titles.veg
V5_Boxes_in_3D_space.veg
V5_mask_example.veg
V5_Transition_Progress_Example.veg

Talk about cat and mouse. Probably just left them up long enough to dishearten the FCP team, I've heard they've got similar hubris planned for NABster.

They seem to be back up?...
TheHappyFriar wrote on 4/18/2004, 6:27 AM
there's 3 things different about those:

1) they're listed under Vegas 5 file type
2) they're listed by Spot, not Jeff
3) they have the comments taken out (personaly, spot, I would of put a joke in there!)

enjoy!

Two of them are blowing away Vegas 5.0a trial version.
V5_3D_SCI-FI_Titles.veg & V5_mask_example.veg after you specify replacement .jpg files for the project.

Can anyone comment?
Thanks,
Tom

No problems here - but when I open them I cancelled the media search, then added my own media as takes to the events.

Vegas 5 crashed for me with the V5_3D_SCI-FI_Titles.veg.

The V5_mask_example.veg worked for me, but i did not specify a replacement file.

I send my error report along to Sony.
