V6.0 and V6.0a are NOT the same

During my thrashing to get the boxed version, V6.0, to work, it was suggested that the download version is the same - not true.

V6.0 had the MSSQL mediamgr bug/error message, would not open the file/capture window and who knows what else. The tech support re DirectX and NetFrame was nonsense in this case.

This also explains why "some have no problems" - perhaps those that downloaded the pgm didn't have the bugs in the boxed version???

hopefully I can now try to recoup the 10 of lost time

Often by the time the boxed version's CDs get produced and shipped there is an update available in the download section. Usually it's best to ignore the CD and install the download version instead.
