V7 - AVCHD support?

I thought I heard that V7 was to support AVCHD. I do not see any reference to this in the press. Does anyone have any knowledge of future AVCHD support plans for Vegas?

I have tried importing AVCHD (.m2ts) and Vegas will not recognize the file as a media file. If I try to import it using All Files, it fails with an error. So, I believe that V7 does not support AVCHD yet.

That is what I was afraid of. I was considering the new hard drive based HD camera from sony but now I'm rethinking.

It should be along fairly soon. Sony will not let it sit without sales.
