V7e and GearShift 1.6.6: "not licensed" ??

I am using fully licensed Vegas 7.0e and Vasst GearShift 1.6.6. I want to batch-convert my .m2t files to Cineform HDV-Intermediate. This has always worked fine with earlier versions of Vegas 7.0 but now when I run the GearShift script, I just get the error message

"Not licensed for CineForm HD encoding. Please visit www.CineForm.com to purchase your upgrade."

Can anyone comment on this strange occurrence? Did Sony change their licensing with the 7.0e upgrade?

Ok, I found it. Yesterday I installed the Cineform "NEO Player" software. It turns out Cineform subscribes to the "there can be only one" philosophy and the player software knocked out the Vegas-licensed Cineform encoder. I uninstalled "NEO Player" and tried to reinstall Vegas 7e but it turns out you have to uninstall before reinstalling, which also looses any customizations like Excalibur multicam script buttons etc. Ok, uninstalled & reinstalled & re-registered with serial num. and now I'm back working again at least, after wasting an hour. I sure wish I hadn't tried the "NEO Player" in the first place.

Cineform makes a note of this conflict on their download page, but I didn't recognize it as applying to me since I wasn't thinking of myself as a Cineform customer, nor the player as a "trial version" since it was advertised not to expire.
