V8 and component analogue?

It's listed as a feature but not a new one!
Well one of the few things that SCS did tell us about V7 was that it did NOT support component analogue.
So now, from what's said in black and white can we assume V8 will support it. Doesn't affect me directly but I'd assume a few others in the USA and Europe still using BetacamSP would be interested in this, assuming they haven't long ago moved on.

It would sure interest me, because the HD110 has analog component outs at 4:2:2. How to injest?

Hopefully, V8 will have support for the Blackmagic Intensity Pro, which has component analog I/O. Even if the upcoming release of Vegas 8 doesn't immediately include support for the Intensity Pro, Blackmagic claims that they will have full support for Vegas "soon."

How to ingest?

Seriously (not in jest :O), the Blackmagic Extreme HD card should work fine, I hope we can get a statement from either BMD or Sony re this.

Currently the Xtreme HD card is not supported, or if it is, it currently does not function.

I'm surprised. Why wouldn't V7 support component SD analog? Granted, you need a digitizing card, and you need deck control, and you probably need a bit of a disk array.

Can't Vegas do this through a Xena card?

I believe Xena takes only SDI or HDSDI input. No analog inputs means one needs a component to SDI digitizer in the input stream.

I looked at the Xena page before asking the question and confirmed that at least some of the cards have analog I/O. But I didn't go so far as to check which ones Vegas can use.
