V8 is Missing MainConcept etc. Render Options

Just started playing with Vegas 8a and there are hardly no format options in the render drop-down. No Main Concepts, AVCHD etc.?????????

I have installed DVDA studio 4.5 as the DVDA Pro would not give me a trial period - it wanted a sn and I have not bought that. Does this mean Vegas8 will not work without DVDA? If so I might use my PremierPro for my HDV work because I must have the AVCHD renders. This does not seem right to me. I have DVDA3.

I am pretty sure that you cannot have the mainconcept encoder without DVDA being installed. You might want to try reinstalling DVDA3 now that you have 8pro installed.

I am curious though, is Vegas 8pro a trial? If not, DVDA4.5 is included with it. I don't think they sell a stand alone Vegas 8pro.

Yes, my 8 for now is a trial. I didn't know Vegas and DVDA now come together so that answers it. I will do as you say and check again. EDIT:
I found the DVDA Pro 4.5 trial and now all is OK. Thanks.
