Tried to open a V7 project in V8.0b. Due to client rendering source files out of uLead the audio is 12/32K. Never had a real problem with these before, still work fine in V7.
First attempt at opening the very simple project in V8.0b it just crashes.
Second go fared better except:
1) Useless dialogue box that tells me it is going to build a proxy but I can cancel that if I like. Well no I can't, not until I close that dialogue box by which time it's building the proxy.
2) That then causes Vegas to throw an error message stating it has a problem because the stream changed properties mid stream and proxy building has been stopped.
After clicking through all these dialogue boxes for every file it looks like nothing might actually be wrong but until I listen to all the audio I can't say for certain.
I can work around this because thankfully I can go back to V7 and render new AVI files with 16/48K audio.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with 12/32K audio in Vegas and if the problem has already been reported. It's a bit of a concern as a lot of newcomers who don't quite get it with Sony cameras are going to have 12/32K audio for V8 to deal with.
Bob.
