I can reliably reproduce a Microsoft .NET framework Cast Exception Error.
Depending on the complexity of the work you've already done on a title, this error may require a complete shutdown of V8 (using task manager) to get rid of it.
However, the simple way to create it:
- Start a New, empty, V8 project
- Add a Centered ProType Title
- Select Layout tab
- Enable Path checkbox
- Enable Position on path keyframing
- Add a position keyframe by double clicking at, say, 2 secs
- Change position of "Centered" by adjusting position slide bar
- Double-click on "Centered" boundary box to go into Edit Text mode
- Select Style tab
- Try to move/scrub the timeline cursor
