V8 stopped playing MOV files

For some reason MOV files will no longer work in Vegas V8. I used to be able to import MOV files fine. Now I just get a black screen. I tried updating Quicktime but no luck. Did a recent version of Quicktime somehow screw up Vegas' ability to work with MOV files? Any help? Thanks.

Yep, it seems every time there is a new quicktime version, it screws up Vegas' ability to play the mov files.

I've stopped rendering to or working with MOV's all together now for that reason.
MP4's...

Vegas Pro 8 needs Quicktime version 7.6.2 or earlier.
As soon as you have installed the older version, you will want to disable automatic updates.
A forum search will lead you to a wealth of information, and you can find earlier versions on Apple's site.
