Simila issue. Do you have to register trial of V8? I said "no" to registration and now it demands a SN to load, so I uninstalled it and now my V7 audio track FX have gone and reinstalling V7 does not bring them back?

Yes... you must register the Trial. This has always been. Looks like all it does is connect to their servers and put your info into Sony's DataBase. You can input any info you'd like... it doesn't matter. This will allow you to use the Trial.

It's almost like when you go to some websites and they demand that you 'register'. Its called 'Profiling'. This allows them to know who's using their software. If you input all of your correct info... it may also allow them to contact you with special offers and who knows what else.

When you get your SN... just input it.
I think if you have a SN when you first install you have the option of registering. (I'm not sure about that because I always use the Trial first)
