V8+Vista 32+Media Manager 2.3 error

Hi,
Has anybody been able to get Media manager 2.3, the optional install with V8, to work on Vista 32?

I have tried installing MM2.3 both before and after V8 was installed, and I get the same error message that the Default Media Library could not be opened. I get the same error trying to create a new Media Library or opening any other V7/XP compatible media library.

The event log has the following error entry -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FCB::Open failed: Could not open file D:\My Documents\Sony Media Libraries\Default.medialib for file number 0. OS error: 5(Access is denied.).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sony, please help or fix this ASAP. An advertised feature is having problems. Thanks.

Anyone???
It definately looks like a bug. If I try to create a Media Library in the path with no spaces, the library is created.

How did you do that?

I tried and that still did not work for me.

It looks like Media Manager 2.3 and Vegas Pro 8.0b is a totally broken combo.

Vista does not like the SQL2005 without service packs - and that's the main reason it does not work. There are a couple of options - one is to try and install the update packages, and that might get you sorted out. The other is possibly (really I don't know on this) that SP1 will help, as they have tweaked conflicts of many applications to try and encourage business uptake that generally happens once SP1 is released. Finally, wait for Sony to release a new version which contains a varient of SQL2008 since that should work straight out of the tin. With 2008 releases happening imminently, perhaps Sony could be on the ball with this and have a MM2.4 release

That would sort out many MM fans in Vista.
