v9 audio weirdness

so, i thought i'd give 9 another whirl (i'm in the middle of a fairly large and lengthy project so can't really devote much time to playing with it at the moment).

i had to cut an audio bed, fairly straight forward cut to cut with hdv. i found that i was getting occasional very quiet 'clicks' and 'taps' (as if someone accidentally knocked the table the mic was sitting on). i was a bit concerned as i certainly didn't hear them when recording (ok, my hearing's fk'd, but not that badly), nor while i ingested. anyway, rather than panic straight off, i thought i check the same sections out elsewhere.

no noises in any player or v8? but they're certainly there in 9.

i'm not going to linger on this, i have work to do, but obviously not in 9.....

ok - just tried deleting clips from bin and bringing them back - noises cleared up. any thoughts to ease my trepidation about using 9?

ok mkll - finished up in 8c, thought i'd try rendering it out in 9 - clincks and knocks back, but not in 8c. open closed a couple of times, noises gone. bloody fast rendering!!! pity can't use 9 for anything else at the moment...

Do you have your Quickfade Audio Edits set the same in both versions?

(This assumes the clicks were in areas where one audio event changed to another.)

thanks sp,

haven't touched QAE, and these 'events' took place in the middle of clips....

tried again this morning and all appears fine (for now). it's a bit of a worry.

i haven't as yet tried rendering the 'bad' sections (when they're 'playing' badly), that's on the list but i'm a bit pressed for time at the moment.

thanks
