V9: New features are nice, but old bugs remain

Two things that really got on my nerves from Vegas 8.1 and I discussed here many times are that when setting up a pre-render module with a size different to that of the project, when using that module it would change the size of the project to the size of the module. The other bug was that many times when opening v8.1 it would say that the footage files were missing even though I hadn't moved them at all, and I had to close Vegas and open it back, load the project and then it would open the footage files without problem, which over time adds up to a lot of wasted time.

I'm very disappointed to see that in Vegas 9 64 bit those two bugs are still there. I thought that 8.1 was mostly a test version of a 64 bit Vegas and that with this new version at least these two obvious bugs were going to be taken care of, but apparently Sony prefers to introduce new features to sell the product rather than fix the bugs and release a product that works as it should. In my view, first you have to make a product stable and reliable, and only then introduce new features. If you have the man power to do both at the same time, great, but obviously SCS does not, and they chose the worst course of action, to release a whole new version with some of the bugs in the previous version. It's a shame, because some of the new features are nice.

While I agree with your conclusions one issue remains.
Have you reported these problems?
I know you really have to hammer support to get problems escalated and recognised but it's the only hope we have of getting issues fixed. By all means have a good old whine here if it makes you feel better but it is not going to get the problem fixed.
My gut feeling is that SCS or parts thereof are under the impression that many of the problems reported here simply don't exist. The only hope we have to change this is to keep hammering support.
