VA2 vs. VV3 for recording

I would appreciate some opinions on this.

I have done some successful 8 channel recording with VA2 and a Gadget Labs (R.I.P.) 8 channel card. I’m about to do more but this time I need to play at the same time as recording for some layering.

I own VV3 and am wondering if I should upgrade the working version of VA2 on my recording box or leave well enough alone. I’m particularly interested if there is any difference between VA2 and VV3 as far as keeping the tracks in sync if I play while recording?

TIA

Larry

Sorry, can't answer your question, only experiencing VA2 in a 'glancing blow' before VV3 came up.

I find VV3 very usable, but unless you are in a hurry, why not wait a month or so until V4 is out ? And maybe a further month until the first service release.
