Just wanted to publicly thank SPOT, Gary Kleiner, Manny and Leigh (SONY) for a great day of V5 training. In my opinion, the admission to VASST is not a cost....it's an investment. And a damn cheap one compared to the cost of a new camcorder ...even most software!
I'll recoup this investment on my first project. Learned more in one day than three weeks of tedious reading of the manual.
If you have the opportunity to attend....just do it!

Thanks for the very kind words, Steve! Was indeed a fun day, enjoyed y'all being there. We ran a bit over time on this one, but made the flight. Gary and I are in San Francisco now, looking forward to meeting that crowd. Leigh and Mannie drove up, so they'll arrive later.
What a great crew on both sides of the presenters tables.
Can't wait to get to the next cities. NYC is going to be REALLY special, as it's in the 550 Madison Ave Sony building!!
If you are in NYC, make SURE you register, due to security, no walk-ins will be accepted at the free Sony Showcase event. We MUST have everyone's name on the roster prior to the event.

Spot, Gary, Mannie - Thanks for the great presentations and hospitality at the L.A. VASST. Everyone left the event with a VASST amount of Vegas and DVDA2 knowledge!
