VASST- NYC

Spot regardless of our correspondence on another forum I still really want to attend. The Glidecam Cranecam can wait! lol I'm pretty proficient with Vegas and DVDA but like any complex program there's ALWAYS more to learn...

I'm just working on getting a few friends to register as well. Just have a few questions:

-Will there be laptops provided for attendees? If not is it ok to bring mine along- just wanted to make sure in advance because it's a ton.

-Will the Q/A section "only" be following the last section at the end of the day?

-Will Gary be attending this stop?

- I know video is forbidden but whould you mind if I placed an audio recording device at your table?

-If I have an extra hand (a friend registers w/ me) do you mind if I bring along my EOS 10D for some photographs of the crew, etc?

Thanks in advance. Hope to see you in two weeks- I should know for sure in the next week. Lastly, how late can I register?

Yes you can bring your own laptop. Laptops (and power) are not provided. I don't know what the Sony room will have available for power.

No. There are several Q/A points through out the day, one before each break and before each session change.

--Will Gary be attending this stop??
yes

-- I know video is forbidden but whould you mind if I placed an audio recording device at your table??
Yes, I'd mind. We have a table FULL of gear. You can place it close to the front of the room, but nothing else can be sitting on the presenter's table for reasons of safety, distraction, convenience, and space.

Not a problem, you are welcome to bring a still camera.
You can register right up til the day before the event.

A reminder to all:
Due to heightened security, NO ONE will be allowed to do a walk in. Sony is providing security escorts to the floor of the event, if your name is not on the security list given to the security team, you will be turned away. Sony has made that VERY clear to us.

I don't know if Edward told you but I'm the one who designed the Excalibur, Tsunami, and Neon thumbs for the V5 interface (along w/ the Tsunami logo...which I still need to re-do for Edward). I don't know if your even interested but I've been fiddling around with an updated logo and macott (wizard) for Excalibur 2 I'd like to show you.
