I just sat down on another Vegas 8 Workstation today that has Vasst Ultimate S v3 installed. Whenever I try to execute the Script I get this error:
_____________

An error ocurred during the execution of the Script.
Error 0X80133004 (message missing)

Microsoft.Vsa.VsaException: AssemblyExpected (0x80133004): C:\Program Files\VASST\Ultimate S3\UltimateS2V5.dll

Be sure yuo're running the latest version of Ultimate S 2/3 on your computer. It would appear you're running an older version.

This may be unrelated but I installed the latest US3 today with VP8a (build 179). None of the US tab icons appear in the Vegas tool bar dialogue. Only the US 'S' and multicam icons appear. I talked to TJ who didn't have an immediate answer. He asked me to send an email to tech support at VASST which I did earlier today and have not heard back.

Upon further inspection I saw that he was running v3.0.3 so he is supposed to download and install the update. I'll post back the findings.

Pathlight,
We removed the quick icons in the last few versions of Ultimate S, because of the new quicktabs found in the application.

What are quicktabs? Can you access the tab with a keyboard shortcut, or do you have to open the US main window? If the latter, hasn't this added more keystrokes and time to execute a script?

For example, I'm often using two US3 scripts while editing: "renumber all markers" and "select all events on, below and to the right of the cursor". I've found it very efficient with previous versions to just click that respective icon on the toolbar. Now it seems you have to click the 'S' icon, wait for the window to open, click the appropriate tab, then click OK. Am I missing something that makes this process faster?

Thanks
Mark

This error is because the link on the toolbar for that workstation is pointing to the Ultimate S 2.0 version for Vegas 5! (i.e., UltimateS2V5.dll is Ultimate S2.0 for V5)

It looks like someone copied the Ultimate S2 DLL into the Ultimate S3 folder because US3 does not support Vegas 5. I would download the latest Ultimate S 3.1 from the VASST web site. Then uninstall the copy of US3 on that workstation, delete the "C:\Program Files\VASST\Ultimate S3\" directory entirely because who knows what is in there now, and then re-install US3.1. Finally, delete the bad toolbar shortcut and point it to the correct one that the US3 install makes under the Script Menu folder. This should clear everything up.

JohhnyRoy - I Copy/Pasted your reply in an eMail and just got this response back:

"It worked! Next time you're in the Studio I've got some things to show you. I'd like to take you to lunch for being such a big help."

This is one of the biggest things I like about Vegas and the community. Nowhere else or No other NLE forum would have been this helpful. This one little thing really helped to strengthen an already strong relationship.

Also, the reason I thought to post here was so if anyone else came across this problem hopefully they would find the answer archived here.
