Ask tomorrow. None of us have installed V7 (well most of us haven't)

If you want a more accurate answer, ask on the official US2 support forums at DMN

VASST will be sending out an email to existing customers as soon as Vegas 7 is released explaining how to get the Vegas 7 versions of all of our software products.

To anyone who is interested, all 21 VASST software products have been updated and are available for download on our web site. The problem is that Vegas 7’s use of .NET 2.0 broke our licensing software which apparently was only .NET 1.1 compatible. :(

This has forced us to change our licensing system to one that is compatible with both .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0. That means that any customer who would like to run their existing VASST software products in Vegas 7 will need a new license key in addition to a new download. The email will explain the procedure for obtaining your new key.

Just to be clear, the Vegas 7 version of all VASST software products are absolutely FREE to existing customers. The same new version works in Vegas 5, 6 & 7. Customers who aren’t using Vegas 7 don’t need to do anything. They can continue to use their existing software.

So V7 uses .net 2.0. Okay. I hope installing it doesn't break other things for me. Brrr!

The Veggie Toolkit update for Vegas 7 will be available soon. I have one little problem with .Net 2.0 left that I am trying to get fixed today. Check the website periodically for the update and I will also send an email to existing users once it is available.
