I tried the autorun script at dvdhelp but my windows 98 says it can find the file. Is there a one size fits all file so the vcd will play in any player? Is there a way to create a vcd within vegas that will auto play? TIA, John M.
Don't VCDs automatically play when you insert them? Certainly in my Pioneer DV-525, they play right away. I realize this information may not be very helpful, but I'm offering it because I'm trying to find out whether I really understand the problem you are having.
farss, you've been correct on everything I've ever read, but I don't think I agree with this one. The MPEG1 files on a VCD can be read on all nine of my PCs, including one that is still running Win95. They play both in Media Player, as well as when using WinDVD.
Maybe I didn't understand correctly what you were saying.
My vcd's play fine on my pc, but i would like them to automatically start when inserted into the pc. I'm working on a business promo piece and it would be better off if the disk started on it's own.
Thanks for the replies, JM
