Hmmm . . Now I wondering if there is a conflict with Vegas Auto-save and Edward's - in VP9e?
On my part, no mistake. I have repeated this result/action this morning 3 times and get to having the Master Veg being "updated" to the latter "Save As" option.
What I should be doing is open VegA save as VegB and THEN do my edits, to this newly formed VegB.
Why did I think I could edit and THEN do a Save As? - I think I know now - I've had Vegas AutoSave on and that has been creating "saves" as I make changes (thanks Bob!) . . . .
What I'm use to happening in WORD is that I make edits, do a Save As and ONLY the Save As has the newly made edits. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
I can repro this result, but that may not make it a BUG. I'm thinking that that is the way it is. Of course reporting something that is "the way it is" would make me look pretty darn foolish?
Certainly Word does not behave this way, I did cheat and test it just a second ago. Word creates a temp e.g. "~DocA.docx" as you work on DocA.
If you have Autosave on in Vegas then logically as you make changes to ProjectA they should be updated into ProjectA.veg at the time interval defined by the Autosave, don't know if Vegas lets you specify the interval, some programs do.
I agree, it's a bit of a trap. I now work under the 'cloud' of always assuming changes made to ProjectA will always be in ProjectA.
