I am getting this message that says:" warning: An error occured while loading the project file. The file is unsupported" I know there is a bak file but of course I screwed that up by renaming it wrong. I must of missed something while doing so. I know there is this Autosave thing but that failed on my too. Is there a way i can make a New bak file or save my beloved project?

Do you still have it? Because you can rename the file as many times as you need to.

Right. You need to rename the extension from .bak to .veg. Otherwise Vegas will most likely not even realize it is one of its own backups.

Once you have changed the extension from .bak to .veg, you should be able to open the file with Vegas as usual.
