veg to vf file? Downgrade Pro 22 to Studio 17?

I have recently started a video editing job and I was recommended to download the Vegas software by the person I'm working for. I bought Vegas Pro 22 and when I sent him the file there was an error I guess because he uses Vegas Studio 17 and I can only save in a veg file and he can only use a vf file. Is there any way I can change a veg file to a vf file? Or save as a vf file on Pro 22? And at this point if this is what I have to do is there anyway I can downgrade my product from Vegas Pro 22 to Vegas Studio 17 and pay the 17 price instead? I had no idea this would be an issue... anything will help. Thank you for your time.

No version of Vegas Pro is backwards compatible with Vegas Movie Studio, sorry.

Vegas Movie Studio is no longer available, as of 2017.

@Dylan-Cuellar

Here's one thought for you: Vegas Movie Studio can be registered and used on two computers at the same time. Your friend can get the download and serial number from their Magix Software account for you.

Or recommend your friend upgrade to VEGAS Pro 22 as it has many features not available to your friend and supports more file formats as well.

Not to mention, VEGAS 22 also performs much faster than Movie Studio.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

I'm wondering what editing you do in VP22 and what further editing has to be continued/finished in VMS17 by your client?

Vegas Movie Studio is no longer available, as of 2017.

Actually it was 2021 when VMS17 was discontinued.
