Vegas 10.0d - Has anyone made a 3D blu ray yet?

Hello all

I can't seem to make a 3D blu-ray from Vegas 10.0d. I go Tools > Burn Disk > Blu-Ray disk and enter the settings and hit OK. If I set the audio type to AC3 I get an error:-

The AC-3 plug-in is currently unavailable. You can unlock the plug-in by installing and registering DVD architect pro.

If I turn AC3 audio off and onto Sony Wave64 (stereo) I get:

An error occured during the current operation. An unexpected error has occured.

Has anyone actually done this? Do I need to get DVD architect pro? I can only find a product called "DVD Architect Studio" on Sony's site www.sonycreativesoftware.com/dvdastudio

Thanks for any help!

Unless you bought it from a site that doesn't sell it as a package, DVD Architect comes with Vegas Pro.
Sony started bundling them together back in the Pro 7 or 8 days.
It's a separate download but the two of them are generally sold together.

yes I have made 3d blu rays with native 3d footage. i'm still trying to figure it out though, having a lot of trouble with effect overlays. anyone know of butterflys, clear bubbles like you blow, and any other effects that I can use without any problems? I got these surfing youtube and sometimes they work sometimes not. what if you want to at a template like a wedding template to a template of a wedding you have already made, how do you combine the two without erasing the first templat/veg?

There was a time period when B&H was selling Vegas pro for something like $130. This version did not come with DVDa (pro) which is required to unlock the AC3 encoder. Vegas will not let you create a Blu Ray disk with the wav64 plugin. You need DVDa (pro).

As for creating 3D blu Ray.... I have done it as side-by-side, but still haven't figured out how to use the MVC encoder. There is certainly not much in the way of instructions on how to use it. When you render using MVC you get two files. One is the 2D file and one is something like the difference between the left and right. We're supposed to burn both of these to blu ray for a 3d disk.... but that's as far as I have gotten. How exactly I arrange them on the disk... I do not know.

The poster Cornucopia from the above URL gives an informative explanation of 3D BD which might be of interest.
