Vegas 10 rendering blank sequences

Anyone having the same problems? I render an entire sequence of converted cineform avi from Neoscene. Sometimes i get one or two blank/black screens in the 3-4min video.

I have experienced this on my laptop and desktop. Dunno if it is a bug or something. It also happens during editing. Sometimes i spacebar to preview and i get audio but no image. Once i close and reload the file its ok.

it is so irritating when you render for 10min only to have to render another once or twice till you get it. I even get flashing/strobing images sometimes.

I've had the same issues and it is very annoying, my project was over 60 minutes and took 3 hours to render.

It isn't codec specific, I tried changing codecs to no avail. It could be due to event frame rate not matching project frame rate. The problem is so intermittent I cannot be certain. Obviously once I got a clean render out I stopped trying further tests.

I'd urge you to report this bug. Doesn't seem to be affecting too many so the more that report it the more likely it'll get the attention it deserves.

Probably the same problem I experienced http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=732439clips going black[/link]. I caused some confusion (particularly at Cineform) by speaking of "muted" clips. Vegas uses "mute" for both video and audio, and the effect I experienced is the same as muting vision on a clip. Appeared random, was fixed by restarting Vegas. However eventually I did realise it wasn't quite as random as I claimed and recoding those clips (through HDLink) generally fixed my problem. Clearly Bob didn't find this to be a solution. Certainly need latest version of your cineform product.
