Have bought the upgrade from 10.0e to 11.0, installed and registered it it and just opened a small 5 minutes project made with 10.0e.
Saved the project from 11.0 and started rendering with the same template as I have used in 10.0e for ages (mpeg2 full HD 30 Fps progressive at 25 Mbps)
It renders 62 frames and then it stops with an error message saying: An error occured while creating the media file xxx.mpg. The reason for the error could not be determined.
Have retried several times - also with other names - but rendering always stops after the 62 frames.
When I start 10.0e and render the same project with the same template there are no problems.
Then I start vegas from scratch and make a new project consisting of only one video track with one 5 second standard Sony generated text event and start the render again - Vegas does not stop at 62 frames but counts to 100 percent, as it should - and then the Elapsed Time just counts on and on and the render never finishes. Cpu usage for vegas110.exe is some 10 percent... After some 6 minutes I press Cancel to stop rendering - The Elapsed Time counter stops counting, but vegas110.exe still runs at some 10 percent.
I use no GPU acceleration or other exotic things.
Edit: ERROR/SOLOUTION FOUND:
Vegas 10 and 11 read the templates differently.
When I look at the System part of the erroneus template I see that the data are different if I see it in Vegas 10 or Vegas 11.
I.e. in Vegas 10 the Video delay is 180 while it is 3.276.857 in Vegas 11.
So obviously the templates datastructures are changed from 10 to 11.
Then I made new templates from scratch and now Vegas 11 renders perfectly.
If SCS needs a copy of the templates in question pls. mail me.
