Hello, Please Help!!!!
Bought in August Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11. Installed on Qosmio laptop (' bought in June 2011) with Windows 7.
The 3D anaglyph video editing does not work. I follow the procedure as outlined in the " Jumpstart Tutorial " but the " PAIR as STEREOSCOPIC SUBCLIP " does not work: it is visible but cannot be accessed by mouse click. Deinstalling and reinstalling does not work. Please Help!!!! Since I have a license number for Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11, is there a way to download a " fixed version" which would have a working 3D part ? Thanx in advance

Cheers
Boris

Can you describe specifically the steps you're taking when you try t apply the Pair As Stereoscopic effect? It's hard to say what's going on without know what you're doing. (For instance, can we assume that you went to your Project Properties and set it to 3D mode?)

I do cover how to apply this effect and how to work with 3D video in my book, available on Amazon, if you're interested.

Hello. I will look up your book. However, I suspect that I have a defective software cd. Not being an expert, I followed the procedure indicated on the jumpstart tutorials. Yes I have set the new project properties in the 3D mode. I try to make anaglyphic red cyan clips.
I bring the left and right video clips on the time line. In the bottom half of the screen apprears the so placed videos. A right click on the right side bring up a " menu"
containing:
" Open in trimmer,....Media Fx....Video Event pan/crop...
Create Subclip, Reverse in BOLD and in " not bold" therefore not accessible by mouse click "Pair as Stereoscopic 3D Subclip"
This menu ends with Steam..Synchronise...Properties.
Since I cannot click on the "Pair as Stereoscopic 3D Subclip" choice, I cannot make 3D clips.
Question: since I have a valid license number, can I download an internet version of Vegas 11 and register it with my license?
Thanx for your advice,
Boris

You should always download Vegas rather than install the version on your disc. Chances are what's on the disc is an initial release riddled with bugs. Since you've registered Vegas, go to My Account / My Software from the menu at the top of the page and download the latest release of your version. Your version 11 license will work for any version 11 release.

I don't have your Movie Studio version to test, but the normal procedure in all Vegas versions is to SELECT the events first before right-click.

To select an event, click on the thumbnail area, and the border around the thumbnail will turn dark. With the event selected, right-click and all the available options should now be enabled.

And don't forget to select BOTH event (left and right) with ctrl key, after that right click, and bingo, you can select "pair as 3d subclip.."
