Vegas 11 problems 64 & 32 bit

After years or relatively stable usage of Vegas Pro, all of a sudden I have two very different problems. Firstly, I was trying to edit a small existing veg file with a NewBlue Titler section. Every time I try to edit the Titler event VP11 aborts. In fact even when I start a clean project and try to create a Titler event, VP11 stops. So I thought I would try VP11 32 bit. No luck though it hangs while creating the video plug in factory.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Same here, used Vegas problem free until I upgraded now I have all kinds of edit, render issues.

You could uninstall NB Titler and then open your old project. You should get a message to the effect that a plugin could not be found. Go to the clip(s) that had referenced the title and remove any reference in the plugin chain if it has not already been removed automatically. Save the project, which should now be "clean" of any NB Titler references. If you are a masochist, you may reinstall NB Titler.

Peter, I'm sorry but Titler Pro is VERY stable on my systems - I have no clue where the "if you are a masochist" statement comes from. Hundreds of people are using it trouble-free every day. Yes, I know there are a few, very vocal, people on the forums who are having issues. For those who have reported the issues to NewBlue, we're trying to work out what is happening on those systems.

Stefan, what build of Titler Pro do you have installed? The current build is 120402 and can be found here:

Another important factor is your video driver. You need to make sure you are on a current video driver.

Ed, if you have some tips/tricks for having a stable NB Titler please share them with the group. I have given up on NB (as well as VP11) and use the titler within Boris Red along with VP10e. If there someday is a solid VP11 (or VP12) along with a solid NB Titler THAT HAS VERSION NUMBERS, I will reinstall the two. For now, I have a combination that works really well.

My experience with NB Titler Pro was that it crashed Vegas everytime.....UNTIL I simply checked the "Win 7 compatibility mode" box after right clicking the Vegas Icon and properties.

If you are using Win7, this seems to work for most folks from what I am seeing here, and stops some other crashes as well. I may have thought from your profile that you were using XP, so did not enter this info prior to now.

Thanks James, I'll give it a try after I have completed a major project on which I am currently working. Right now, I can't afford to "rock the boat".
