Vegas 12 - Great new features, and a little buggy

Just upgraded to Vegas 12 for the new features. Love Vegas and immediately found FX masking to be very useful. Rendering is fast and the format selections are great, and the ones I used are high quality (as usual). I like the new explorer

Had problems opening my Vegas 11 project - hangs at 38 %. Saved it as a new project type and was able to open the project with just the loss of my generated text. (By the way - like the new import and export features). I wanted to use the New Blue Titler anyways, so went ahead with that. Every time I used New Blue, the next title I created after the first would cause Vegas to crash. Changed the option so that an audio editor is specified, and Vegas can't remember the setting after I've brought it up again. Editing audio from the trimmer in my external Program (Sound Forge) causes a crash when returning to Vegas. I do love the new audio features.

Overall, I'm happy about the upgrade and am looking forward to the first service release with improved stability.

new blue titler is notoriously crashy, I've stopped using it until they fix it ( whenever that will be ). I had a friend who also uses Vegas, and he was complaining to me about crashing in V11 all the time, I asked him... what are you doing, he said, oh, just editing and the new blue titler, once he stopped the titler, he found a great deal more stability. He had a friend who uses the new blue titler, he friend was adding it to his timeline, My friend told him, what are you doing? his friend said, I'm adding some titles. My friend said, Don't use the new blue titler I found out it was causing a bunch of my crashes, his friend dropped it on the timeline.... it crashed vegas, my friend laughed and said told you so.

So, as you can see, it would appear that it is not ready for prime time really. Nice if it worked, but I don't use it because of the fact that I don't like the instability factor.

Newblue Titler will still cause issues for some Vegas 12 users, but its
not to be taken that the fault is with Vegas 12, its with Titler Pro.
