Vegas 12 w/ Production Assistant 2.0

I use PA on several Image projects that I have. I use a template that allows me to add the images then PA with crop, pan, and transition the files for me; basically do what PA is suppose to do.

The problem is that V12 inconsistantly locks ups. Inconsistant in that, sometimes it locks up at 20%, sometimes, 90%, you get the idea. I turned off all tuning programs (Afterburner, core temp etc) I have used both CPU and GPU only encoder modes (even tried OpenCL).

I would like to continue to use PA because I do a lot of these projects and PA saves a lot of time.

Anyone using PA, having similar issues, or even better a solution?

Thanks

I seem to be having a few crashes around PNG files, what are the image file types you're using?

I'm using JPG files.

Interesting you said PNG because in V11 I was having this same issue when I was rendering PNG image backgrounds. I found that shutting down MSI Afterburner solved the problem.

Thanks for the reply.

It's one of the things I did b4 posting. I uninstalled/reinstalled Production assistant and updated. I installed new video drivers, unloaded background processes etc.

It'll get worked out in one of the upcoming patches. I still have V11 that's working just great esp. with the 700 patch.

Is it locking up when rendering? and are you using Production Assistant to render? One simple test is to render manually. This will take Production Assistant out of the equation. If the manual render locks up, it has nothing to do with Production Assistant. Since Production Assistant is just automating Vegas functions, I suspect this is what's happening. Let us know.

I did install the Producion Assistant 2.09 trial for use with vegas pro 12.
( already finished a 15 min project in vegas pro 12 before installing PA )

Added a lower third from PA 2.09 ( BTW , not very impressing lower thirds )
Noticed vegas 12 hang for a 30 seconds but then went again normal but the time line indicator line did not move anymore ( preview though played ).
After say 20 seconds , vegas pro 12 crashed .

Removed production assistant 2.09 trial .

( am not sure whether this is vegaspro 12 itself or PA , had this time line indicator line not moving anymore also in the beta version different random times )
