Vegas 15 has only Stereo for the new HW acc codecs?

I was looking for some new HW accelerated rendering codecs that could make better use of my nvidea gtx titan x or the somewhat older intel i7 4790k in Vegas 15, but I could not find one that supported 5.1 Audio.

I prefer to have 5.1 audio in the best quality 1080 50p to render.

Am I wrong to assume 5.1 is poorly supported. I can use the old Sony rendering codec that is still available, but for that codec the rendering speed is the same as Vegas 14.

The new Magix HW accelerated codec for rendering is very fast indeed, but only stereo.

I do not understand all that effort nowadays is going into visuals 4k, 8k, oled, HDR and audio is still stereo. I already had stereo on tape in my teenager days 40 years ago.

I also find it kinda ridiculous that Vegas has all these 5.1 mixing capabilities built in, but little to nothing as far as 5.1 output goes. The same goes for DVD Architect, only accepting 5.1 Dolby Digital files (that Vegas cannot create anymore). Even if it was a licensing issue, they could at least let us use multichannel LPCM for Blu-Ray discs.

Not much reaction to this post, I conclude that most Vegas users seem to be using stereo these days instead of 5.1, or heaven forbid even more channels or dolby atmos ... I guess everyone is more interested in LUTS, 4K, 8K, multi camera, 360, and professional color grading.

I had expected more from Vegas with regard to GPU HW accelerated codecs as being stereo only, and this coming from a company that prides itself from it's origins: a sound editor.
