Vegas 17 reinstall problems

Vegas Pro 17 Edit was working just fine before reinstalling Win10. Clean install with Win updates including .net framework and C++ redistributables. Computer is operating perfectly; as designed. No issues with antivirus, firewalls, passwords.... all good.

Reinstalled Vegas 17 build 455 by downloading directly from Magix. Registration confirmed. SEVERAL problems. See image.

1) Menu bar at top of window is cut off. Only half of the characters visible. Navigating to > View > Windows Layouts > Default repairs the problem, but only momentarily. Once the saved project, or even a new project for that matter, is reopened Vegas reverts to the same problem. Creating and saving a new default view doesn't solve the problem either. Projects still open with menu bar cut off.

2) The visible track button set contains only "mute" and "solo" as shown. Adding new visible buttons is possible, but they do not save when the project is closed and reopened. The visible track buttons revert to only mute and solo. For example, if track motion is added to the visible set, it remains there only so long as the project remains open. When the project is reopened the track motion button is no longer visible. It has to be manually added again each time.

3) Timeline numbers are very small. Hard to read. Changing the monitor display values is no help. 100%, 125%, 150% makes no difference.

4) Same as 3) project media titles are very small. Hard to read.

Thanks for your time.

Russ

For track defaults you have to change them on the menu on the left-side header and save as new defaults. It should stick.

I think VP 17 has a couple of high DPI display options- I'd try different ones and see if you can get it the way it was. Otherwise could be a windows setting- I have mine set to 125% in Windows display.

After having reinstalled Win10, and after two days of allowing Win10 to go through its update processes, Win10 decided to notify me that even more updates are needed. So I clicked install and went to bed last night.

Woke up this morning and lo and beholdeth! Vegas is back to normal.

Computers. Love 'em hate 'em.
