Vegas 17 wont open mov files anymore

Hi all,

 

Just upgraded to 17 and my project contains lots of after effects mov files with alpha backgrounds.. lower thirds etc..

Works perfectly on vegas 16 but opening the project on version 17 and it says all the mov files are unsupported. it also says my prodad stabilizer is not supported either. I probably should have waited or trialed a version first.

 

Any advice??

From another thread:

It is very possible that these files require QuickTime to load. The QuickTime plugin in VEGAS Pro 17 has been turned off as QuickTime is no longer supported on Windows. You may, however, reactivate the QuickTime plugin by going to Preferences and selecting the "Deprecated" tab. From there you can turn on the QuickTime plugin if you still need it.

sorry but when you say ... 'deprecated' tab in preferences. Is that vegas preferences or quicktime?
