I recently had my Vegas Pro 18 that I've been using for years start crashing on boot. So I upgraded to Vegas Pro 23 and it also crashes on boot. I uninstalled and reinstalled both. Both 18 and 23 get all the way to the end of the boot process with the progress bar all the way to the right, so it's crashing with the WPF layer.

For Vegas Pro 23 the Editor screen comes up, an advertisement splash page comes up and then it crashes.
If I run Vegas Video 13 and reassociate the .veg files, Vegas 23 will ask me if I want to associate the project files with Vegas Pro 23.0, and that window will grey out and say (Not responding)

I worked with ChatGPT 5.1 for a while and it decided the issue had to be with the Windows Presentation Foundation layer and it specifically decided it was an issue with the Segoe fonts, so I made sure that they were all installed and usable. It's entirely possible that some windows update had an impact on this, but Vegas Video 18 and 23 are the only two software packages on my computer that don't run.

I reached back and reinstalled Vegas Pro 13 and that will actually run.
DaVinci Resolve runs without any issues either.

However, I've been using Vegas Video for 22 years all the way back to version 3.0 and it's what I'm comfortable with.

I'm running an i9-9900K with 32Gb DDR4 memory and an 1080Ti card. It's running Windows 11 fully patched.

I contacted Magix Support a week ago and other than sending me an email saying they got my request, I haven't heard back.

Has anyone had this issue?
