Good day. I have Vegas 18. When I try to import files from Sony A7S camera the program stops working, they are AVCHD files. What can I do? Elite8300 computer with i5 processor, 8 GB RAM.

Are you able to upload such a short file to a place where we can download it to try out as it is, to a site like dropbox

met vriendelijke groet

It always copies the files from the SD card to the hard drive in the computer. Then it imports into Vegas using drag-and-drop. So far it has worked without a problem, no extra software needed. Catalyst would be an additional fence to jump in the editing process, and why pay for this program since I've always done this since Vegas 12. What could it be?

Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for VEGAS 18.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)
