Vegas 19 acting very strangely

SeliG wrote on 4/5/2023, 5:17 PM

Windows 11 (fully updated)
Build : 648
Nvidia 3080 Drivers up to date
32gb RAM
Clean download and install

Hi guys,
I recently bought a GOLXR and since then im getting graphical glitches everywhere around the font in the menus. I can no longer select the Video Preview as it just crashes the whole thing. I'm not sure if the GOXLR has any effect but i'm sure it shouldn't, this is the only thing that has changed since I last used Vegas Pro. Everything is just very slow, almost like its running out of memory or a cache is full somewhere.

Try selecting different things here, in your preferences.

Thank you so much for the quick reply!
I tried every one available and still does the same. Everything seems normal until you try and select the Preview Video then the mini preview drop to around 5 FPS and if you try and enter the menus everything just freezes to a crash. You would think it has something to do with the new audio im using wouldnt you as it was fine before I installed the GOXLR

When I say everything seems normal, im lying, the menus are usually glitchy, or the menus are just straight up missing text.

Start fresh. Do you have windows restore point prior to installing the GOXLR? If you are sure GOXLR is not the problem, you have to go back to a point where Vegas was working.

What version number do you have for VP19?

Others have downgraded their Nvidia drivers. I can't say which version is stable since I am using an AMD graphics card.

Is this the Nahimic issue? Doesn't look like any NVIDIA driver issue I've seen: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-19-build-532-menus-not-working-right--134533/

If you have an AMD CPU with Radeon Graphics try updating those.

Well, the OP didn't fill out their user profile and is leaving everything for everyone to guess at.

With AMD, I am still using graphic drivers from last May with no issues. Some plugins just don't work well with the newer WHQL certified drivers.

Try setting "GPU acceleration for Windows Platform Foundation (WPF) panels" to FALSE. Details are here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-18-user-interface-thumbnail-button-strangeness--129123/#ca815229

The Build is 648, the newest updated version of Vegas Pro 19. I'll buy Adobe before I have to downgrade drivers. I guess the drivers arent compatible with older versions of Vegas Pro?

What do you need to know? I already wrote everything I thought you would need to know in the Original post?!

This probably doesn't add any value as I am on Win10, but one thing I did was use device manager to disable all audio devices that I do not actually use.

Prior to that, it did not crash my system, but Vegas' startup did fill my event log with application errors.

Problems happened when you installed another software. Have you tried uninstalling it to see if that is the actual cause of your problem?

It doesn't appear that anyone else in the forum has that device and software installed.

You mentioned that Vegas is running slow as if it is running out of memory. Do you have Task Manager open to confirm this? Slow as to the way it performed before installing the software?

Have you ran a virus/malware scan lately? What other apps are open when you have Vegas open? Are they memory/CPU/GPU intensive?

I was looking for your CPU make and model number.

Did you read the post that @RogerS posted?
