[Vegas 19] Changed search function of video fx

Hello. I am a Vegas 17 user.
I am using the Vegas 19 trial version and I am experiencing discomfort.

It is a search function in the Video FX and Transition window.

In version 17, even the preset name was searchable, but
Version 19 is not supported.

The Favorites function has been added, but
There is a lack of categorizing multiple favorites.

Please tell me how I can do preset search.

The behavior was changed during VP 18. Good news is that we have cleaned up the search function and it should work considerably better in the next update.

@a-aΒ you are a little late to the game. This was changed in VP18 the way the plugins are categorized. Of course I voiced my unhappiness of the way it is now. I much preferred the way it was in VP17 and before... So now, if I want the plugins in the associated folders, I am forced to use the Plugin Manager window and have it docked. Yes, a pain. Go to View>Window>Plugin-Manager and check mark it.

As for the search function, I typed in "alpha" and had BCC Alpha Pixel, Process, Spotlight, Glow, etc, all with the word "alpha" show up, but not the subset of plugin options. Yes, another pain that I and a few others complained about in VP18.

Now I have Continuum 2021 Complete, and I do not see "gef" in any of the Boris plugins. Are those saved presets?

Yes. "gef" is a preset I made.
It is a pity that there is no separate option for the search function, which has been changed since version 18.

I don't know if you can copy Boris presets from one version to another. You would be best to ask this in the BorisFX User Forum.

I agree with you, and do several others. But in the "here and now", I've been using Plugin Manager and have it docked. I would much rather NOT have to do this, since I have other, more important windows docked (HOS, Scopes), so this takes up real estate on my monitor having it.

What's the point of having "favorites" if one can't favor the "one" as his favorite?

I wish the old tapping letter in keyboard witll auto move to next plugin/

Let say if I press C on my keyboard in the video FX tab, it will highlight Color Corrector, I press C again

it move to Color Corrector secondary, press C again and it move forward to Color Curve. The cycle keep going.

I found this tapping way faster. Cuz it highlight the plugin OFX text name.
