Vegas 19 Edit-Features and Add-ons that came with the program

MMiles wrote on 10/10/2022, 5:05 PM

I have to re-install Vegas 19 Edit. On the direct downloads page, I see the main program and several others. Were all of the following originally included and will work with Vegas 19 Edit?

VEGAS Deep Learning Models 19.3.0.0

NewBlue Live2Post 1.0.0.0
VEGAS Stream 1.1.0.0
Boris FX Primatte Studio 1.0.0.0
VEGAS Effects 3.1.12120.38408
VEGAS Image 3.0.3

Thanks for the information.

Mike

The "Edit" version doesn't include any of those "extras" except for the "Deep Learning Models".

VEGAS Deep Learning Models 19.3.0.0 is part of Vegas Pro 19 and can be installed.

All of the others are not included in the Vegas Edit package which consists only of the basic Vegas Pro program and VEGAS Deep Learning Models. All the other programs you've listed came with the much more expensive (than Edit) Vegas Pro 19 package Vegas Post while just NewBlue Live2Post, VEGAS Stream and Boris FX Primatte Studio came with the more expensive (than Edit) Vegas Pro 19 package called Vegas Pro.

If installed, they either will not work in Vegas Edit without an appropriate licence/serial number or in the case of the BorisFX plugin will have a big red cross emblazoned across the screen unless your already have - or purchase from BorisFX - a licence for that plugin.

Thanks Dexcon and jetdv for the information. So to confirm: Vegas Image, Vegas Effects and Vegas Stream were not part of the VP19 Edit.

When I checked some old folders I had for backup I found that I had these two extras.

NewBlueFilters5Refocus-180730.exe and borisfxcontinuum2020titlestudio.exe

They may have come with the purchase of VP19 as a bonus. Unless, they came with VMS17 which I also have. So I'm a bit unsure. But, I couldn't help wonder if these "extras" (like NewBlue) would work with Vegas Pro 19 Edit?

Correct. Vegas Stream came with the Vegas Pro 19 package (but not Edit) and also came with Vegas Post (but not Edit).

NewBlueFilters5Refocus-180730.exe is a fairly old version but should work in Vegas Pro 19 if you have the serial number for it.

borisfxcontinuum2020titlestudio.exe - assuming that this is not the free standalone version (which does not work as a plugin in any NLE whatsoever) but rather is a plugin - this should work in Vegas Pro 19 if you have the serial number for it - and - that there are no other BCC FX from a later version installed on your computer. All installed BorisFX BCC plugins MUST be from the same version for all those plugins to function. If not, only the FX plugins from the latest BCC version will function in Vegas Pro. But chances are that it is the standalone version as that has been noted by some on the forum over the years.

Thanks Dexcon: I think I got the installation programs figured out. Better organization on my part would help. FYI:

When I got Vegas Movie Studio Platinum it had these below (none of which appear as separate direct downloads, just the main program).

MID019291  HitFilm Superhero Pack
MID018927  VEGAS DVD Architect
MID021279  NewBlue Titler Pro 7 Express
MID021278  NewBlue Supreme Package

Then I got Vegas Pro Edit and it had this:

Borix FX Continuum 2020 Title Studio

Recently I bought VP19edit, when I installed it all my "extras" from VMS16P showed up and work in VP19.
